I have a pair of hens raising 3 poults together. The poults are almost3 weeks old, but we would also like to add 4 more poults to be for dinner later. Is it still possible to add poults so late or not? I know with chickens the window of opportunity is not very long. The hens are very sweet with their babies and tolerant of people. Since there are 2 mamas working as a team, I was wondering if maybe they might take more if given an opportunity.

You can try, but more than likely they will be attacked. The window tends to be day one or two for most hens, some won't take anything but what they hatched, others will take anything.

That's kinda what I thought. This is their first time hatching and my first time with turkey nesting, and they are so much different from chickens!
