Hi everyone. I have 4 Aylesbury ducklings at the age of 4weeks old. Last week I let them swim for the first time in my bathroom sink, since then my biggest duckling has been making a strange sound like it can't tweet. My other 3 are all very noisy and tweet very loud but my other 1 sounds like it has something clogging it's air ways or something. It's acting fine in its self and is eating an drinking normal just isn't as vocal and when it does make a noise it's very quite and husky. Anyone have any ideas what I could do or how it could have started. Many thanks!

P.s: I'm new to owning ducklings, but do own 6 warrens

I think female ducks quack and males make a soften sound. Not certain. But sounds like your duck is okay, just different.

From what I've read, usually drakes make the softer hissing sound and females are the loud talkers. If you post pictures and details (breed, age, etc.) about your ducks on the duck forum, the members over there should be able to answer your questions.

Enjoy the ducks!
