Hi All! My name is Molly and I'm new at raising chickens. I have 3 four week old chicks right now--1 Australorp, 1 Speckled Sussex and 1 Silver Laced Wyandotte. I also have 1 mystery chick that is about a week old--either Cornish X or White Rock, I think.

Like any nervous mother, I did a bunch of research and I kept arriving on BackYardChickens forums and finding good information. So I joined.

I also knit, and read a bunch (I teach high school English and Theatre). I have been married for 12 years. I have 3 dogs and 4 cats. We just moved to the country where we have 6 acres of woods. We're putting in a garden as we speak. We can't wait for the summer!

And I can't get this text to not be bold, so sorry about that. I'm not yelling.
 
Bold text is fine especially for oldies like me who find it much easier to read. ALL CAPS is considered yelling. Welcome to Backyard chickens, glad you joined the flock.
