I was pretty worried when my bantam light brahmas had no feathers for the first almost 2 weeks. I also have 2 bantam buff brahmas that feathered right along with our other breeds. They finally started getting in some feathers, but not many and they are definitely taller and have a different stance. This our first time getting straight run chicks and I'm pretty sure these two are roos, but would love another opinion or two! Is it normal for the feathering to take so long? Included some pics. In one of them, a buff brahma is right behind one of the lights and you can see they are definitely more feathered!

they could be roos, because of the slow feathering, but they should have other body feathers coming in too not just wings like chest back and head and tail feathers. It is odd that at two weeks all they have are wing feathers.

This is them at 3 weeks! I was really concerned, but then read somewhere the light brahmas feather slowly, especially roos. I have raised chicks every spring for 6 years and never seen this. LOL. They seem entirely healthy and happy otherwise...

sorry I read that wrong, dang they are feathering out slowly I haven't had brahmas before but I knew that they do grow slower, I have raised several batches of chicks before as well but that is just crazy.

The weird thing is that we have two buff brahmas who are feathering out quickly. One is behind the little guy in the first picture. I'm just totally confused because it seems very, very slow.
