They said it was the freckled legs. Does Anconas have freckled legs because that's what I thought she was too. Orust are supposedly rare. IDK about any of it as I am new to all of it.

I read up on the Orust, it says there are very few in existence, less than 500, so based on the new picture and that information, you have an exchequered leghorn. Really pretty too.

You have made me wish I had ordered some, I forgot how pretty they are, she should lay very well for you. The darker wash of color up the front of her legs is normal for young birds, it will fade as she gets older. And your welcome.

that's funny you named your chick Oreo. I have too. It is an exechequer leghorn. I ordered two females from Meyer Hatchery and got one male and one female. Not happy about that. Now I have four roosters. :( I have a 9 week old male that has been crowing for 2 weeks! Now the little stinker is attacking me. I had a brown leghorn several years ago that was very aggressive and I had to put him down at about 8 months. I wonder if is this what I have to look forward to with this little stinker. Sigh.
