Is this pasty butt or sloppy birdy?

Is this just a case of a dirty birdy? Just curious, first timer, pasty butt is dried isn't it? Cakey?

She is not very fond of being held and was yelling like crazy when I picked her up to wipe her down.
Hers seemed to be a bit moist. Is she okay? While I was snapping a pic for you guys she pooped out the third pic. It sounded very wet & bubbly coming out. Eww.

I was happy to see she was pooping but she sure did not need to share the sounds of it with me! lolol

Gently wash the vent to remove the poop, then dry her. If it keep sticking you can apply some vaseline to the downy to help it not stick so much.
Provide her with chick starter, fresh water (some vitamins/electrolytes may be helpful). If you are feeding anything else besides chick starter, I do recommend you offer grit free choice.
Pasty butt can be from shipping stress, too hot or too cold.

After getting a better look her vent was fine, it seems maybe just some dribblings going on. I did take a towel to try and get her cleaned up. They do have everything you said to offer, I am not providing any kind of treats as of yet but they do have access to sand. No shipping for these gals, but it was an hour drive so I am sure there was stress invovled. That has got to be a long day for newborns!

I've had chicks with pasty butt and it isn't fun to clean. I highly suggest getting to it before it dries (gently, and try to dry the fur a little so the other chicks don't try to pick at the chick's vent area, they may do that). Stress from shipping caused it with mine. Thankfully, they are all alive and well (almost 7wks old now). I used a medicated chick starter for the first 2 wks to help with it.
 
If you can get the poo before it dries all the better! I had to use scissors to cut the poo off my 6 day old and after I washed her the others started pecking her bottom so I applied Rooster Booster "Peck NO More" on her bottom and it stopped the pecking right away. She dried nicely and is good now Thank God! If I hadn't intervened they would have pecked her raw. I firmly think everyone needs a bottle of peck no more in their chicken kit! It works like a charm!
