Help! I have two incubators, one is a Joeneli (SP)JN12 which worked last year, but now the temperature jumps from 96 up to 102 for no apparent reason. I tried hatching a number of Sebastopol geese and runner ducks all summer last but only one survived and I am positive it was the fluctuations in the incubators. I also have a janoel 8-488888888 which seems to have the same problem (fluctuating temp.)

Does anyone know if a good incubator I could buy? I have some more eggs coming at the end of the week, and I'm hoping I can get some help with buying the best one I can (I usually have 8 eggs or so so I don't need a huge incubator....just one that works,
Thanks

The Hovabator Genesis is the best styrofoam incubator on the market. Digital controls. Vary stable and user friendly.

Check incubator warehouse for pretty fast shipping.

Could your problem be the location of your incubators? Sometimes, sunshine, air conditioning or heater vents will affect the temperature swings.

I have checked the location, but I will look into the incubator you suggested. Do any incubators tell the real temperature inside on the outside? I know it "attempts" to keep the temp you have programmed in, but the inside temp is always so different (I use a mercury thermometer), so I keep trying to adjust it which makes the temp inside too hot or too cold. I will look at the Hovabator Genesis though...thanks so much!

When I use the Genesis, I add another thermometer in the egg trays. The Genesis displays temp and humidity but that's the reading up at the top of the incubator. There's a couple of degrees difference down where the eggs are.
