Hello I have a 1 year old Silver Laced Wynadotte that has been limping for a week, I have checked her repeatedly and there are no broken bones but I think she may have dislocated it. She and a lot of them use the rafters instead of the roosting bars and I think she may have hit a poop board on the way down--its my theory I don't have a clue what else could have happened!! But besides that her butt is now stinky like fishy and I cleaned it up and checked for a broken egg inside but I couldn't find anything so I put a little Hemroid cream inside because there was a very small piece of red coming out of her vent-which is not there today-and put her back in with the rest of the gang. That was yesterday. Today I went out there and she is still limping her butt looks and smells a little better but her skin has turned yellow around her vent. The top of the vent has a small swollen spot but the rest of it looks fine and there is nothing hanging out. I don't know what else I can do my husband wont let me take her to the vet--What does yellow skin mean?? I went and gave her and the rest of them some yogurt incase its a yeast infection and I wormed them all yesterday because there was also two stringy things hanging from her vent when it was fishy. I went and got some duramycin and put it in their water. I'm trying to cover all my bases I have never had a sick chicken PLEASE HELP!!
