My husband, daughter and I live in wonderful Denver. I always saw myself as a farm girl growing up (I only lived in cities!) but I found that I liked the amenities of the city more than the peace of the country: mainly things like the zoo, museums, the grocery store being a quick drive away!

We just bought our first chicks ever yesterday(after 4 + years of research and waiting for the right time!) - 8 in total, two of each kind: Rhode Island Red, Easter Egger, Barred Rock, and Buff Orpington. We are in love and I cannot wait to begin!

I garden, can and cook a lot. I am also finishing my masters in teaching in 2 weeks! The chicks and coop were actually my graduation gift to myself. I am excited to be a part of this group!
