Help

me too, I just don't know how to break it to my daughter. I can't believe how friendly and sweet she is, but I feel pretty certain that she is of the meat breed.

I found this list..hope it helps some. Really hope she isn't a meaty one though.

Is she sitting a lot? Or does she stand and scratch for food? If she is foraging, maybe she isn't a meat bird. I never had any but my mom did, and when they were about the size of yours, they couldn't hardly stand, that just sat there because of their growing meaty bodies. Unless I am thinking yours is older than what it really is. We should know for sure here in a week or two! Fingers crossed she is no meat bird!! ;)

Thank you so much for all your help! She does move around and fly quite a bit. She was foraging all afternoon today. She does eat alot but doesn't seem to be more than my other babies. If she is a cornish, I'm thinking she is only in the 4week range, but she's almost as big as my other ones which are 9 weeks old today .....not looking too hopeful

It'll be fine. Just don't give her full feed. Ration her and just feed her a few times a day, all she'll eat in a few minutes.
