OH.
Hi everyone my girls are very young so I no they will not be laying for awhile but when will they start and when should move them outside? They are very young so I no not soon but when? They are only about two weeks or so old

Hi Jenn the girls need to be about 8 weeks before you can put them outside depending on where you live. I live in the south so it's warm here already. They should start laying about 4 to 6 months. Good luck and have fun

Hi we live up here in Ohio. So I'll have to wait a few more weeks. But we were going to add them to our old flock how do u do this without pecking order and stuff?

Hi Jenna, my new chicks a 3 weeks old. My older girls are kept in an enclosed run. This past week I cornered off an area of the big girls run and put a cover on it also so the big girls can't get in. I brought the littles out yesterday for about an hour. As soon as the weather stays in the 70's I will bring them out more often. I will do this for about a month. Outside in the day inside ( my house) at night. Then I will start to put there cage in the coop at night for about a week or so. Then I will let them with the big girls. I hate the whole pecking order and thought I would never do it again, but I did. I just drag the whole process out lol.

Ok thank you very much your birds are beautiful and look very healthy! We came up with a way to add the new girls. It said online somewhere that if you make a whole new environment for them neither flock will have ownership of the coop/ pen so they will not fight as much because they will learn to share. I'm not sure if this Will work thou I hope it does! Has anyone done this before? If so did it go well?
