New to Chickens!

Hi all,

I am raising my first group of chickens, 27 in all! I bought a variety of straight run chicks and believe I have several breeds represented in my little group! Hind sight is 20-20...I really regret buying straight run (from a very nice friend) because I am now realizing I may have more roosters than hens!! They are 9 weeks old now and I am in the process of trying to figure out who the girls and boys are! It's been quite difficult since they are all different breeds. Nevertheless I have been enjoying them so and I'm glad to have found this site! Looking forward to learning how to post a picture of some of them to get opinions on the matter of hen be rooster!

Its best to post pics in the "what breed or gender is this?" forum. If you take a pic, save it to your desktop and then start a new thread and click on the icon showing 2 mountains and a sun, you'll be able to drag and drop your photo there. Once you click "OK" it will appear in your message.
