one of the chickens got a huge deep wound on her back , im thinking from the rooster. i brought her in and took care of her for a week
while she healed. ive been letting her out in the fenced in yard during the day with the others but watching her.
she is terrified of the rooster and runs off and hides. today she ran off and we found her hiding in the woods. now she is in the house again and happy.
we have 2 roosters.. im trying to find a home for one of them 11 chickens

am i going to have to give her to someone without roosters? will she get over her fear?
am i going to have a house chicken now?
im new to this! thanks

Remove the most aggressive rooster from the flock. She very likely has become his target. Frequently such injuries occur when two roosters are tag team mating a hen trying to force one another off of her.

im trying to find a home for him having 2 isnt working we got an extra one by mistake
how can i keep him away from her? i have her in the house in a large cage because of her injury
she wanted to be alone away from the others and seems happy in the house.
i cant keep her here for much longer she needs to remember she is a chicken.
if i cant find a home for him what do i do ?

If you can't find him a home, you could always keep him in a separate area by himself. You can't allow him to cause harm. So if anything, he will need to be caged if he causes trouble. He can sleep in the coop with the others, but during the day he will need to be kept someplace else.

oh ive been keeping her separate. he is ok with the rest of them but she got injured and i sort of thought he did it so i took
her in the house and now she wants to live in the house. but she cant much longer. i really need to find a home for him im looking.
the other rooster is ok i wish we had never got roosters but i didnt have a clue about any chicken stuff when we got them.
i will find a way to make this work. maybe let the hens run around and keep him in the run. thanks
