Care for Chicks fresh out of an incubator ?

My sister in law picked up some silkies for me and they are smaller then I thought. They are still wobbly on their feet from just hatching. Special care instructions would be great.. :)

Where did she get them from? Not sure how basic you want this or your level of exerience? However, chicks should start out their first week at 95-100 degree in one end of their brooder cage. Each week drop the temp by 5 degrees. They need access to fresh water at all times, but make sure they cant drown init (you can put marbles in the rim to prevent this). Keep fresh pine shavings in the bottom and make sure to change frequently (you dont want moisture to build up or they can end up sick with Cocci). Food available at all times. You can buy Grow gel or Sav a chick to add to their water also to give them a nutritional boost. I hope this helped?

Thanks. I have a brooder with a heat lamp. We also have low dust pine shavings and food and water. I'm new to this but not so new I haven't done the brooder thing yet. These chicks just seemed extra fragile and I'm worried about them. My others seemed to be very active from the get go and these seem to be a little on the weaker side.. :(

Thanks our local feed store was out so we ordered some online. It's supposed to be here today. We lost one chick last week who seemed fragile like this so I just don't want to lose anymore. We were pretty distraught.. :(
