In the Brooder
I was given these 2 and told they were Rhode Island Reds but I didn't know RIR's had so much white. Are they really RIR's? And I can't tell if they are hens or roo's.

Is it just me or does this one have "puffy" cheeks?
The one in the front looks like Red sex-link pullet.
Those birds LOOK like red sexlinks, but they aren't. Given the amount of down on their heads' still, I'm guessing they are about 6 to 8 weeks old. With combs that pink, at that age, those are cockerels. They are probably Rhode Island Red/red sexlink mixes, and as such, can't be sexed based on coloring.
