How far along is this Guinea egg?! Need help!!

Okay, if they were laid at different times but sat on at once they are the same in development. A bird can't lay an entire clutch at once, so the eggs will always be different "ages" but will be the same in development once she starts sitting on them (she doesn't sit until she has her full clutch). So, hopefully, you will not have staggered development or hatching.

More than likely the friend meant the eggs had not all stated incubation at the same time; either from an incubator or multiple hens that were brooding.

My post was not saying the two air cells were the same, that is not the topic at hand... My post was in reply to you stating and I quote "but not as big as what your egg had." and to that I still fully beg to differ as I almost always have "as big" air cells that look nearly identical to that in my 28 day eggs near the end...

My picture was simply to show how large of an air cell can develop in a healthy 28 day egg, off course it's not going to be 'the same' as another as my egg was on day 28, already pipped and due to hatch within hours...

In this case with the lack of movement, and the further description it appear their eggs are dead, but I will still argue the larger size of the air cell alone was not a conclusive indicator of viability...

So it is for sure dead..? I know it's part of it but it still makes me sad lol I'm a sucker. Anyway, how long do I have before it explodes or stinks?! I've had it in the incubator a week already and it hasn't done anything. I think when I get home tonight I will crack it open outside and see what it looks like inside! What do y'all think?
 
Well I couldn't hit it hard enough to even crack it, so I took it to the back deck and dropped it... POP! Egg shells went flying. Definitely dead, it did stink but it wasn't overbearing. This was what was inside though...
