I posted about my duckling who might be a buff and now she's growing her feathers out. She still looks like a buff but she is growing a white collar too and I haven't seen that on a buff.

Still looks like a buff to me. Mine had a lot of white feathers at first, so maybe she still needs to molt again to turn completely buff? (just to clarify, that's a fawn and white runner in the back of that pic)
Or maybe it's just a random patch of odd feathers... my Ruby has a little white spot on the back of her neck (she's a mallard) and Tony the buff has a little chestnut-colored patch on his neck/shoulder area.
