I have a baby chicken that I got Saturday and noticed that it was not real stable on its feet. I have separated it from the others. I found a string hanging and looked today and found a black button on the belly button. Please help.

Can you post some photos of what you are seeing?
The "string hanging" may have been the umbilical cord, so if it's still attached leave it.
Try giving her some vitamins/electrolytes in her water, those can be found at the local feed store. If she is not eating, you can try wetting her chick starter to see if she will eat.
