Hello!
So, I am very excited to say that I have wild wood ducks nesting in a dead oak on my property.
However, the tree is right on the edge of my yard, next to my driveway. I'm worried that when the ducklings leave they nest they will land on the concrete instead of the grass next to it and be injured, as it's a 20 foot fall. I still have about 30 days to figure out a solution, because I have only seen the pair for the first time yesterday. I was thinking about maybe laying down leaves or pine shavings to cushion the blow if they were to land on the concrete?
Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!
