Hello all,
I've been following the BYC facebook group and reading up about chickens for about a year or so now. Well I took the plunge and now have 8 10 week old chickens with no idea on the breeds or sex. They are the funniest things and the kids love them. It's definitely going to be an interesting journey.
I'd love to get into raising my own birds for meat as well but am having a very hard time trying to find someone to process chickens here in Eastern CT. I'm sure I'll be hitting the board up looking for answers to questions and asking a few along the way. Look forward to being a part of this community.
