Hi All, We have 2 , 1 year old hens that do not lay eggs. We think it's stress (they've witnessed fox attacks, coop and run now secure). We have three 15 week old pullets who are currently in a cage which they are quickly outgrowing. The 5 hens need to form a flock but one of the elder hens is aggressive and chases and pecks at the youngsters. What is the best way to unite them? They don't have the luxury of a huge amount of space. The run is about 15' by 15' and the coop sits in the run. Will the "High Hen" peck at and chase the Pullets no matter what and could she hurt them? Could the stress of her aggression lead to the Pullets not laying? We're really enjoying raising chickens but don't want 5 stressed hens that fight and don't lay eggs.
Thanks for your advice :) We really need it.

Glad you joined the flock! CTKen posted links to some good resources for you, so I can't add anything except good luck! The chicken pecking order is not for the feint of heart, but they'll sort themselves out and hopefully give you loads of eggs soon.
