Dry Ducks?

I have 4 female and 1 male Pekin ducks. They have a fairly good size koi pond with a fountain that they swim in and a beautiful duck house that they never use. Our problem is that for the last week they have stayed completely away from their pond. There aren't any turtles or snakes to be seen so I'm not sure why they're so suddenly afraid of the water. It has been a bit colder this past week but I didn't think that would matter to them. Has anyone else had this problem? any suggestions?
 
I didn't think it was an aerial assault issue because they don't take shelter in their duck house at all. Instead they've been sleeping in the most open spot of the yard. Their really weird lol
 
Well my daughter discovered the problem! We've got a large water moccasin living in the pond stones. Now we are just trying to find a way to get it out.
