We were given three chickens with no information on type or anything else. We were told they were 6 weeks old when we got them, so they now are about 9/10 weeks old. Two of them are docile, with cream feathers, and yellow legs. They are apparently the same age as the red chicken that came with them. However, they are much larger. We think they are broilers or cornish x's. What are your thoughts? If they are meat birds will we have to butcher them? (Just for fun thoughts on the little red one?)
I can get better pictures this is just one I happened to take today.

The giant white ones are Broiler chickens and the red one is a Rhode Island Red pullet, it looks like. The others I can't tell as the photo is too far away to see them properly. If you can take a closer photo of the black ones, that'd be great. It's pretty much time to butcher the Broilers, if they're about 5lbs now.

Darn. I was really hoping the white ones would not be! Oh well. The black ones are Black Australorps. I had those ordered. The two broilers and the little red one were the result of college students trying to sneak them into the dorms.

When they got kicked out my sister took them off their hands and gave them to me.

The little red one looks like a pullet and is either a Rhode Island Red or a Production Red. Maybe a Production Red instead as the coloring is not very dark for a Rhode Island Red, but I'm not sure.
