By far the easiest way to track weight loss is by using a simple graph.

On day 0 weigh all of your eggs and work out the average weight. Create a graph with days 0-21 along the bottom and the weight range you will need up the side. Mark the average start weight on day 0.

Then work out what the weight will be after subtracting 14% (or whatever percentage you choose as I've seen everything from 12-15%). There are percentage calculators online that make this super simple. Mark that number on day 21.

Draw a straight line from the point on day 0 to the point on day 21. Then at any stage during incubation you can weigh your eggs, work out the average, and mark that number on the appropriate day. If it is too far removed from the line then you know you need to adjust your humidity up or down.

Even if infertile or dead eggs need to be removed it will not affect the result because you are taking the average weight.

I usually do it on a piece of paper. I'd love to switch to Excel then found this thread. Rather than re-invent the wheel, I'd really appreciate being sent a copy
