Small children and roosters do not mix. Never, ever trust any rooster around a small child. Raising a rooster does not mean it will be tame as their goal in life is to repel invaders and breed all the hens they can. They do not tolerate big or little people messing with their gals. Occasionally you will find once who is tolerant of people, but those are rare birds indeed.
