We have a little "special needs" girl. Bought at the same time as all the others but she's about 1/3 the size now. She hobbled around at first but continued to grow awkwardly. Any ideas other than the vet or euthanasia? She has a hearty appetite but does tend to get trampled by the other girls. Wings are fine, not sure if she will be able to roost with only one foot hanging on. We got her 3/30 as a cick.

What all are her disabilities? I can't really tell from the picture.

If she's eating and drinking well, then she has the opportunity to live a happy life. If you have an all pullet flock, and none of them are bullies (a peck here or there is normal), then she'll either roost in the bedding, or you can use a low angle ramp (shingle material tacked on really helps with grip) up to the roosts...or make a little personal roost for her about 12" high.

However, if you are going to have a rooster, then I'd fear that she would constantly be harassed, since she couldn't easily get away.

Depending on what her issue is, most likely a vet would not make a difference..
