Hello from Door County Wisconsin. So glad to have finally started my flock and join BYC. I have always seen other peoples flocks and thought "I love them little critters' I've got to build a coop and join the fun". Made up my mind and went and bought materials so I had to do it. Built my coop over the winter then the run this spring. You know what they say, if you build it they will come and sure enough they did. We have 6 hens now and love them all. They are all different breeds and are named after our grandma's and aunts. I wasn't sure how my wife would take to it, turns out she loves them as much as I do. BYC is an awesome site. I've spent most of the winter reading here and can't seem to stop. I've learned a ton of information here and believe I've gotten off on the right foot thanks to BYC.

Glad you found a lot of info while getting ready for your chickens. Now, you can come on and share what you did with us. Go to your state thread. You will be surprised at how many folks there have chickens, that are close to you!
 
I'm sure I answered your other post. I recognize the beautiful hens on their roost. But just for good measure WELCOME TO BACKYARD CHICKENS AGAIN!!
