Hi! I'm a new turkey mom here! My son has had a pet turkey for about a month now. He got out of his box while we were gone last night and now we've noticed him sleeping an awful lot. Could he be getting sick, or is he just tired from wreaking havoc in my house last night? Lol

I would suggest checking out the link Yorkshire Coop posted, or starting a thread in the "Turkeys" or "Emergencies/Diseases/Injuries and Cures" section.

Hope your turkey feels better soon!

Thank you both! I believe I did post over in the turkey section. I think so anyway! Lol I'm a new turkey mom and a new member so I'm still trying to figure it all out!

Your most welcome and you did post in the turkey section :thumbsup

We were all new once, I'm sure you will soon get the hang of things.

Thank you!! I originally started with a few bitties and the turkey, but my chick babies didn't make it. I've wanted chickens for years so I'm thinking I'm going to start with grown chickens and let them hatch the babies out for me. I'm told it's much easier that way. I have 3 kiddos and the 2 oldest ones are missing the babies!

No, we didn't. Of course that doesn't mean he didn't get into something! I wondered about that myself. He started acting like he couldn't stand up as the day wore on. We put him outside in the brooder in case he was having problems from being inside too long. I haven't checked on him this morning.:(
