I am trying Geese for the first time. I live in WA state and the small pasture I have for the two young geese borders woods with blackberries and nettles. I lost one of my geese yesterday to a predator crawling through the under brush and snatching her asleep in the grass. Will I have to keep geese fenced in this environment? Will the remaining goose be OK as a loner? She has 4 chickens for company and they have bonded well. I have dog exercise pens surrounding the remaining goose in a small bit of pasture and baby pool but this will not work forever - she is about 4 mos old. Thank you so much for feedback!
