HELP! Duckling pipped @ wrong end and won't come out

My duckling pipped at the wrong end and after 36 hours he wouldn't come out so I helped him by taking away some shell like they would to unzip and put him back, it's been 24 hours and he just isn't trying to push out. I don't know what more to do. I can't just let him die in there...please help!

Let me get the timeline straight:

Duckling pips
36 hrs later you assist
24 hours after that there was still no progress?

When you assisted what was the veining situation? How much did you remove? Were you able to get an idea on position?

yes that is correct. It's all good now, I assisted him all the way practically he was stuck In a weird position and was too weak to come out I'm guessing, I practically hatched him myself by peeling off the entire egg
He's doing okay now

Good! I've had to do it once or twice myself.. it's a bit nerve wracking isn't it!?

Waiting as long as you did was probably for the better. By waiting, you were able to ensure the yolk was absorbed and the veins had receded.

Hope this little guy keeps doing well.
