16 chickens vanished!!!

Came home to 16 of my 24 chickens just vanished. 8 were left in the coop. The fence is undisturbed and no blood or piles of feathers! What in the world happened? Any ideas? We searched for them, but found no traces.
 
Sounds like two legged predators to me. I think you need to set up a game cam so you will find out who(what) is taking them. You'd also have proof for the police. Do you have neighbors who might have noticed something going on?

I think they will eventually be back for more unless they already took the breeds(?) they wanted. You may be able to file a police report anyway since it appears they were stolen not predatorized.
