Is There Something Wrong With My Nest Boxes

Thread Starter

I have noticed for the last month or so my egg production has really slowed in what I thought was supposed to be the best time of year for chickens to lay. I haven't changed anything so its been a puzzle to me why they suddenly slowed so much all at one time. Perhaps its something to do with my nest boxes. Heres a picture I took of one of my nest boxes today. Don't this box look like a good place for an egg to be laid ?

Lol perfect for the snake. Hens shouldn't have a problem with it.

Yikes! If I were a hen I wouldn't be laying any eggs there either.

Is that chicken blood on the nest box, or did you hurt yourself when you went to gather the eggs?

Keep your chickens safe from predators, buy and wear fur.
