Hi, I've been reading lots and was happy to get some eggs for my girls and let it all go naturally as I can (I'll get involved if they seem ill/ injured etc.) I have 3 hens on 5 eggs and a 4th hen that likes to sleep with them at night. Will they all be ok together if the chicks do hatch?? Also, they are upstairs in the rabbit cage (rabbits cage is tucked in the side of the chicken house so the 2 rabbits and 4 hens can all be together). Anyway, they all live happily together so should I stop worrying? I just read that the mum will protect her babies but we will have 3 mum's.

I hope this makes sense lol thanks

You might have troubles, hopefully one hen takes control and calls herself mom. I would then separate for a few days for the chicks and her to bond and for the chicks to get stronger. Sometimes too many moms ends up with a game of it's not mine. So try to be present when they hatch and be ready to step in and either pull the chicks for brooding or for playing referee. Not every broody hen knows what to do with chicks.

I think I would at the very least remove them from the rabbits. I do not keep broody hens together so I do not know how that will go. Good luck on your hatch!
