Coop Cleaning??

So my chickens have been out in their coop for 2 weeks now. The grass that was in the coop is now just poop and dirt. The ladder and the roosts are all dirty and pooped on and I am wondering how in the world to clean all this and make the flooring of the run not just chicken poop. I will do the deep litter method in the winter but it is not ideal in triple digit summer weather.

Thanks in advance for the tips and advice

i only have 5 chickens so the coop is only 3'x4'

easy to clean-- with gloves took me maybe 30 seconds

a bit longer for the run but i'll use a small rake (my run is not that big)

the manure that are on the steps. you can wash them down with the garden hose .. dried manure is pretty tough to remove so you have to do some scrubbing..

do you have those used sponges (the ones with yellow and green sides?) or grill brushes lying around the house? some scrubbing will remove it right off

wear gloves while you are doing this

We have a similar coop. We use straw litter, including covering the tray inside. I replace it when it becomes about 25% manure to 75% straw (every 2 or 3 weeks), and rake it every day or couple of days.

The girls like to roost on the roof strut and top side of the house rather than in the house itself. The weather here is pretty mild (mid50s to mid80s).

I am considering painting the ramp and roosts a dark color, so that it looks better.
