How do I return chickens affection?

I have one chicken that is very social and wants attention. She follows me all the time. I would like to pet or rub her but it seems to make her nervous. Where and how do you chickens normally like to be touched?

My hens followed me around too but I never bothered to pet them.
Your the food and treat provider...She is looking for a hand out.
My four week old chicks, and I have 32 of them all come running when they here me coming.
Imagine 32 little faces looking up at me wanting a snack.
If you must pet her? Pick her up and see if she likes it?
 
Thanks I will try to pick her up and see if she likes it. I have 30 other chickens, she leaves them to follow me after I have fed. i'm sure she is wanting something. I just cannot figure out what it is. I have tried more food but she does not want it. Do you have any other ideas? I appreciate any information you can give me.
