I just joined yesterday, found this site as I was looking for pallet coop suggestions/plans. I haven't had chickens for many years but plan to get mine going soon. I use to raise and butcher 100 a year the old fashion method of hand plucking and a five gallon bucket of hot water. Now my plans are raising them for eggs only unless I get the urge for farm fresh meat. They will be free range, organic and loved! This looks like a great site to find out what chicken knowledge I've missed over the last 35 years!

Hey, nice to meet you.
Not sure where Stonyford is, but I'm way up here in Ca also, Crescent City, where the redwoods meet the sea. Heard some of the State of Jefferson stuff, but not actually familiar with it. Just moved up here under 2 years ago. LOVE it here!
