I need some advice.
I have a broody that hatched two chicks on Friday (day 20) and then got up off the remaining 4 eggs some time between Sat. morning and afternoon. They were cold to the touch when I found them but I stuck them under another broody. I just went to check on them and one is starting to crack.
Should I return it to hen #1 tonight and hope it hatches overnight and she'll accept it? Or should I let the hen #2 hatch it and return the chick tomorrow night to hen #1 and hope she'll raise it? I can't leave the chick with the current broody as her eggs aren't set to hatch for 2 more weeks.
