My family and I just moved to Murrieta Ca 2 months ago. We are turning our backyard into a farm. We want to raise hens for eggs. I'm here to learn all I can.

Hello there and welcome to BYC!

So glad you could join our community! You certainly have come to the right place for all the fun and learning.

Have you found our learning center yet? Lots of great articles on all the aspects of keeping poultry... https://www.backyardchickens.com/atype/1/Learning_Center

And if you can't find answers there, you can search our archives for threads, (search bar at the top below all the tabs) or you can start a new thread in the particular forum your question relates too.

So make yourself at home here! And we do welcome you to our roost! :)

Hey @JuniperFarms I am so happy you joined our roost at BYC! I would like to welcome you with open arms! Yes this site is very helpful for all chicken related things! I hope you enjoy BYC and make sure to post pictures of your flock and give us updates on how you are doing here https://www.backyardchickens.com/f/40/family-life-stories-pictures-updates I hope the eggs are worth it and believe me even if you just have a flock of 6 or 7 that is 35+ eggs a week so you have enough for a couple days and give some away! I am happy you were able to follow your dream and get a flock of your own that is so nice! All the best of luck to you and your flock!
