G'day and Welcome to Backyard chickens. If you can get some good photos of them - post at "what breed or gender is this." BYC has a large Aussie community - the more the merrier, in my book- and "Australia, six states and one funny little Island," thread so you can keep up with the folks at home.

Hi and welcome to BYC - thanks for joining us. Sorry about your "layers" :(

Best wishes
Ct

Hello there and welcome to BYC!

Yes, sometimes those well thought of pullets do turn into cockerels.

I sure hope you do have some layers in there.

However you have certainly come to the right place for all the fun and learning! Definitely stop by your country's thread so you can chit chat with your chicken neighbors... https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/598568/australia-six-states-and-that-funny-little-island

Make yourself at home here and we do welcome you to our roost!

Glad to have you join us. We have 5 10-week old chicks (purchased as pullets at the age of 4 weeks). We are seriously hoping they are pullets. Have 3 hens and a rooster from our first flock ... and will integrate when they are 5 months old. Right now we are enlarging the coop and it has been so hot and humid here that it is not going very fast. Hope you have better temperatures over there.

Very glad you joined the flock! I'm sorry about the little boy, what breeds do you have?
