I am a newbie in all of this and got 3 buff brahmas a couple of months ago. We lost one of them and then had 2 lovely "hens" . Dorothy, the biggest and loudest, started crowing last week - so we're sending her to my friend's who has about 60 chickens in a rural area. I'm looking for a few hens - we built a little hutch and have them free ranging in an overgrown paddock - they're doing great. i live in Smithtown, NY - help???
