Is it all right to bath your chickens? My rhode Island Reds and my Buff Orphington found standing water after it rained yesterday, they looked like they where trying to do the dust bath but with muddy water.

They were bathing. Unless they are just flat out caked with mud, just leave them be. They will clean themselves.
Huh.......never seen nor heard of a chicken taking a water bath, they love to drink from the puddles tho.
Maybe they were hot and trying to cool off?

Thank you, Their feet was muddy so I rinsed their feet off and then left them back into the yard. They are doing good, I guess I was surprised by their action.
