Thinking of raising 10 or 12 cornish x
For my first time im not concerned with butchering as im a fisherman and hunter. I have laying hens 37 of them so i know a bit about chickens. I have never raised meat birds any info would be great. I live in Massachusetts and wouldn't even know where to get them.

Some feed stores near you may have them this time of year but probably not. Otherwise you'll need to mail order them.
They like to sit next to the feeder and eat. That inactivity makes them much messier around the feeder. If you have them in a larger space with distance between the feeder and water, that will disperse the feces more.
You won't have them long and you'll be glad to see them go to the freezer.
You can butcher some at 3 1/2 weeks for Cornish game hens.
The rest should be butchered around 6 to 8 weeks.
Some people restrict feed after about 3 weeks.
I give about 20-22% protein the first 3 weeks then cut back to 18% and finally 15% the last week or so.
