If you let a rooster mate with a Broody Chicken will she lay the fertilizer eggs cuz I know broody stop laying eggs when they turn broody

Hi Kaleb and welcome to BYC - thanks for joining us. I would not imagine that your broody hen would allow a rooster to mate with her - thats my observation, at least. If he has mated with her, then redsox has given you the best link to ask your question.

All the best

Welcome to BYC. It's great to have you!

If a rooster mates with a broody hen (assuming she lets him), then any eggs she lays will be fertile. However, she is very unlikely to lay any eggs more than 1-2 days after she first begins to brood, as her body will quickly shut down egg production.
