Brewers Yeast? is this one correct.. UK

Brewer's yeast is high in B vitamins. I don't know who told you to give it to your chicks. Don't know if it's a water soluble vitamin. A very little bit will go a very long way. Are you using medicated feed? The Amprolium in that blocks Thiamine uptake in the Cocci organism. I'd be interested to hear what it does in the chick!
 
Chick feed contains all the necessary nutrients etc for healthy chick development. Maybe you could ask the person who recommended using the brewers yeast what it does for chicks?

I don't know much about ducks, but don't they need more of the B vitamins? Isn't' that why you're not supposed to give them medicated feed (amprolium)? Probably couldn't hurt to sprinkle some on the feed, but I don't know if it's necessary.

Probably best to ask on the duck section.

I do know my Mom used to put Brewer's yeast on our popcorn when I was younger, for the vitamin boost. It has a flavor that takes some getting used to, but not horrible.
