Okay, so we have two flocks; 3 ducks in one (1 female and 2 males), and 2 geese and 2 ducks in the other (2 pairs). Originally we just had 4 ducks, but three of them were killed by a bobcat, and we got more to keep her company, as well as geese to alert us. This isn't really a question, more of a, "does this happen to you too?", but, the duck from the original flock, Marie, will lunge at us and nip if we give the geese too much attention! It's really amusing because she gets really mad; she isn't afraid of anything! (Not even our dog, she'll chase him away!) I know she isn't trying to hurt us though because it doesn't hurt when she bites, and she runs away right after lunging. Also, our geese don't like Marie, and neither does the male duck in their flock! Does anyone else have jealous waterfowl?

That's quite the situation!

We have two flocks, but the antagonism is pretty much between the groups - no one seems to be bothered by me spending time with the other group.

Is your single female duck okay with two drakes? Generally that's a recipe for injury or worse due to drakes' mating habits.

Marie is actually doing quite well with males, even though they sometimes try to mate with her. Recently they haven't been doing it as much, though, so that's better. Usually they try to mate with the other female in the other flock, but the geese attack them; luckily they aren't injured. Marie relies on the two males mostly for companionship, as do they; but sometimes they separate and she runs off by herself and leaves the two males to do their own thing. As far as I can tell, I don't think she has been injured by the two males.
