You wield it well.Broom had to fly the coop and was just letting me borrow her torch for a few minutes.
You don't think she would have trusted one of the roosters with it do ya?

You're a wise man KW.I'm getting out of here before one of you starts aiming that thing at me!
White do YOU ship to Canada?Don't you ever get tired of having to ask that all the time? It'd drive me nuts!
I would be upset too I get it. I'm sure there are a lot of other things you could really use for that kind of money. Maybe think of something else really need and tell him even though it is really really cool you really need such and such instead ?Hi folks! Haven't been around due to being REALLY busy.
Chickens are doing well; molting season is already upon us and Duchess has returned to being typically Ancona colored. Everyone has great big ugly bald patches, but feathers are coming back in so I'm not worried. I dosed everyone with Sevin dust since it's pretty easy to get through the feathers and down to the skin right now, and the coop's been sprayed for red mite and most of them are dying off.
Baby is doing great! Honeybee is now 28 weeks along and we're in the final stretch. I'm livid with my FIL right now though, because even though we ALL told him that my MIL bought the stroller and car seat already (for $800 which is about normal price for here) he went ahead and bought three car seats (which are supposed to cover from birth to 3 years) and a stroller from a racing car company for an ungodly $4000+. Not only do the seats he bought NOT meet current EU safety regs but they aren't even made of anything you can't get in a cheaper system. He bought them SOLEY on the "cool" factor and so he could brag to everyone that his grandson's car seat and stroller cost $4000. What's more, he never consulted us on what we wanted and never even bothered to look up the safety rating or any reviews from people who have used it. So now he's going to dig in his heels and force my MIL to return the SAFE and WELL-MADE system we bought together and were able to test and touch and try out in the store because he's stubborn and wants his overpriced seats and stroller.
And what's even worse is that I shouldn't really be mad. I mean it was a nice gesture, and a very expensive one. As a grandpa he should be allowed to spoil his grandson. But I'm still angry about it and I don't think those reasons justify me NOT being angry about it. Is it just hormones? Am I being too stubborn? Am I being unreasonable? Because I get the feeling everyone thinks I am being unreasonable for giving a damn about the seat that keeps my kid safe in the car.
Ya. . refusing to accept the gift would be less hurtful than taking it and then selling. That could cause bitterness for a long time.I can't agree with that at all. If one of my kids had done that to me I'd have been more than hurt.
Better to sit him down and explain her feelings quietly & rationally, bringing up the safety concerns.
In the end you always have to do what's best for the childs safety. .sounds like she's got it all worked out. I'm late to the conversation lolSorry if this sounds harsh, but who gives a rats rear about appeasing your FIL's ego? Nothing comes before the safety of a child, ever. I understand the importance of keeping the peace & that you're living under their roof, but this is your child & therefore your rules. I would tell him how touched you are at his generosity & assure him that there will be a lifetime of being able to spoil his grandchild, but that this particular issue has already been decided, based on the safety of the child.
Safety first, always!
Oh my goodness I love that movie! I've seen it a hundred times I bet.
Marek's is present almost in 100% of non vaccinated chicken flocks. It is a virus from the herpesviridae family. And like his cosine HS-1 that almost 100% of human havery it, the MDV is present in almost 100% of chickens. The difference is if the virus ERUPT and that is dependent on genetics AND ESPECIALLY IN STRESS LEVELS!!B you haven't had Marek's on your property yet have you?
Bubbles Google or read aboutSo.... My best Chantecler pullet is down sick with I don't know what.
Her balance seems off, nothing other than that.
Few days ago she was really lame on the off leg, but now it's not so much lame as unbalanced.
I know, I know, I've thought about Marek's. I'm just looking for other things that could cause unsteadiness. Anyone happen to remember something from their travels around BYC?
?!?!?Chickens have EARS?
