Can I Raise Bobwhite and Coturnix Next to Each Other Free of Disease?

I was thinking of dividing my cage into two smaller ones with a 1/2" mesh wire as the divider. Question is will there be any issues with cross contamination? Will they get sick being so close to each other assuming they're all healthy? Thank you.
 
I keep my Gambel quail and coturnix next to each other. I havent had any problems. Not sure If I can have problems though so I might not be much help lol.
