I am not sure if there is already a place for a post like this, if there is I cannot find it.

I would like to begin by saying that I have visited this web site more times than I can count. It has been an invaluable resource for answers to common questions as well as excellent advice on various chicken ailments.

I wanted to take a few moments to commend one of this community. Someone that has helped me tremendously, not only with excellent advice, but emotional support as well.

We have a hen that has been battling sour crop/blocked crop for about a month now. I posted questions on how to treat sour crop and got some very good advice. Upon finding a link to a thread posted about the crop, its function, and illnesses related to the crop, I came to find an awesome mentor in TwoCrows, or Leyla.

Leyla has been with me every day since my hen became sick. She has put up with my incessant questions, rantings, poop photos, and blubberings about how I couldn't let my chicken just die because she is part of our family. I have private messaged her at all times of the day. She has never ever failed to promptly respond with great medical advice as well as emotional support, even though I am sure that she is extremely busy. I will probably still be messaging her as my hen is far from out of the woods.

My only wish is that there was some way to pay her back in kind. I would love to give her a thousand ovations! Even just one! But our communication has been through private message, and I can't figure out how to go about doing so.

Thank you Backyard Chickens, for having such a quality site, and Thank You Two Crows / Leyla, for giving me great advice and the courage and support to stick with it, even when things look their worst.

@TwoCrows is definitely a treasure!

(If you want someone to be notified they have been mentioned in a post, use the @ in front of their member name, like I did at the start of this post. That way the person you're mentioning will know their name came up!)

Oh Tammy, you are too kind!!!

No need to pay me anything. Your kindness here is enough.
