Thanks, I got a response from one of the mods that stated I just needed to lurk and troll a while before I could make my own page to enter an article for the contest.

G’Day from down under BillyRoper  :frow Welcome!

Good luck in the contest; once you have sufficiently lurked and trolled :D

I hope you enjoy BYC.  There are lots of friendly and very helpful folks here so not only is it overflowing with useful information it is also a great place to make friends and have some fun.  Unlike non chicken loving friends, family and colleagues, BYC’ers never tire of stories or pictures that feature our feathered and non feathered friends ;)

Thanks, right now I'm trolling for advice on how to get them to stop eating their own eggs.

Hey BillyRoper

Touch wood .. I have not experienced any egg eaters.  Did you check out this article in the Learning Centre?

Yep, I put pingpong balls in there with them, and they used them to play soccer.

:lau Sorry, I shouldn’t laugh but the visual of chickens playing soccer instantly popped into my head; little uniforms and everything!

It sounds like the roll-away nest box might be your best bet.
