What is the best day to candle dark eggs?

I usually candle at day 7 - you should be able to see clear veining and the embryo at that point. While very dark eggs are tougher to see into, having a very bright candling light will help. I was able to candle my Black Copper Marans eggs at 7 days and gauge development pretty accurately.
